MECHANICSBURG, Penn. - HealthSouth Mechanicsburg will join HealthSouth hospitals across the nation on Sept. 20-26, 2009, in celebration of National Rehabilitation Week.

The week will be highlighted by Community Stroke Screenings, 1-3pm, 9/22/09 at Hershey Karns Foods and 9/23/09 at Mechanicsburg Karns Foods, “Bark for Bucks” Susquehanna Service Dogs Demonstrations, 11am-2pm, 9/24/09 at Camp Hill Giant Foods, and a Community Health Fair, 9am-12noon, 9/26/09 at the West Shore YMCA. Other events include an employee picnic and employee events throughout the week.

National Rehabilitation Week was established in 1976 to create awareness of people with disabilities and the effects of rehabilitation.
