    Amputee

    This clinic is designed to care for individuals with a new amputation as well as for those who have been living for years with their amputation and need to be re-evaluated. Prosthetists (artificial limb specialists) are among the members of this team.

    Program Goals

    • To improve gait
    • To improve functional mobility
    • To improve strength and range of motion
    • To improve balance and agility

    Services
    Treatment sessions last approximately one hour for two to six weeks. Following a comprehensive evaluation, sessions consist of:

    • Gait training
    • Strengthening exercises
    • Range of motion exercises
    • Balance/Agility exercises
