Amputee
This clinic is designed to care for individuals with a new amputation as well as for those who have been living for years with their amputation and need to be re-evaluated. Prosthetists (artificial limb specialists) are among the members of this team.
Program Goals
- To improve gait
- To improve functional mobility
- To improve strength and range of motion
- To improve balance and agility
Services
Treatment sessions last approximately one hour for two to six weeks. Following a comprehensive evaluation, sessions consist of:
- Gait training
- Strengthening exercises
- Range of motion exercises
- Balance/Agility exercises
