L.I.F.E. Program
HealthSouth's L.I.F.E. (Living Independently in Functional Environments) Program is a multidisciplinary approach to rehabilitation that focuses on application of therapeutic techniques in a dynamic, functional environment to maximize quality of life and optimize independence.

The focus of the L.I.F.E. Program is to provide a safe daytime environment where the patient can attend individual and/or group therapies from two to five days per week, for two to six hours per day. Length of stay in the program is dependent upon individual patient needs and progress.

Therapeutic Objectives:

• Provide comprehensive therapeutic planning for acute and chronic pathologies, based on individual and family goals and needs
• Enhance the patient's functional abilities
• Increase strength and endurance
• Educate the patient and family on techniques to maximize success in the home and community
• Provide follow-up and referral to other resources to support the patient's continued recovery upon discharge
